Every practical way to make this trip, cheapest and simplest first.
Take the Airport Railroad All-Stop train from the basement of your terminal to Seoul Station, then follow the signs upstairs to the KTX platforms for a train to Busan Station. At Busan, take Busan Metro Line 1, change to Line 2 at Seomyeon Station, and get off at Centum City Station Exit 1 for Exhibition Center 1.
about 4 hr door to door · about KRW 4,750 for the airport train from Terminal 1 (KRW 5,350 from Terminal 2), about KRW 54,400 for a standard-class KTX seat, and about KRW 1,800 for the metro in Busan · The cheapest way south, with a guaranteed arrival time and no second airport.
Same journey, but take the reserved-seat AREX Express train instead of the All-Stop service — it runs non-stop from the airport to Seoul Station, which saves about twenty minutes and guarantees you a seat with your bags. Pick up the KTX to Busan in the same building, then follow the metro directions above.
about 43 min from Terminal 1 to Seoul Station, then the KTX and metro as above · about KRW 13,000 for the AREX Express, plus about KRW 54,400 for the KTX and about KRW 1,800 for the metro · Landing with luggage and wanting a seat from the moment you board.
Korean Air and Asiana sell connecting domestic flights from Incheon to Gimhae (Busan) that stay airside, so if the hop is on the same booking as your long-haul you change gates without clearing immigration or collecting your bags in Seoul. From Gimhae, follow the Gimhae Airport route to BEXCO. Allow a generous connection — the airlines set a minimum of around 90 minutes.
about 1 hr in the air, plus the connection and the Gimhae to BEXCO leg · varies by airline and date · Long-haul arrivals already ticketed through to Busan on a single booking.
Book the KTX before you fly and reserve a seat — Friday and Sunday standard class sells out, and since the September 2026 merger KTX and SRT tickets are sold together in one app.
